Henderson County Sheriff’s Department Receives K-9

Share

Henderson County Sheriff Donald Seitz would like to thank Gabe Stevens and Alexsha Alexandar. Gabe and Alexsha contacted Chief Deputy Link approximately a year ago, wanting to know how they can assist the Sheriff’s Office with a K-9. Gabe and Alexsha purchased K-9, Jake as a puppy and have graciously donated their time and money to train Jake. Jake is trained in agility, article searches, tracking, and has just completed apprehension training. Jake will also be trained in narcotic detection. Gabe is the handler for Jake and both Gabe and Alexsha are on the Henderson County Auxiliary. Jake will soon be working patrol and is already available for call outs. This is just another great example of citizens of our county willing to help keep others safe and get involved in policing. K9 Jake is at no cost to the county because of Gabe and Alexsha’s generosity. Sheriff Seitz, everyone at the Sheriff’s Office, and the community are lucky to have them.
