John E. McIntyre, 88, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 3:30 am, Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born January 24, 1932 in Seaton, Il the son of Robert and Nina (Fell) McIntyre   He was raised and educated in the Belmont area and attended Broadview Academy in Broadview, IL.

John married Coralie Sue “Coke” Phalp on August 2, 1951 in Pocahontas, AR, and she passed away March 24, 2019.

John worked 42 years at Admiral/Maytag in Galesburg in the paint shop and maintenance before retiring in 1996. 

He was a member of the Park View Seventh Day Adventist Church in Galesburg, IL.  He loved to camp and travel.

Survivors include his children, Connie McIntyre Johnson of Estes Park, CO, David McIntyre of Monmouth, IL; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Danny McIntyre; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
