Jon Ryan Zefo, 40, of Galesburg, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2020, in Peoria.
He was born May 15, 1980, in Peoria, the son of John M. and Linda L. (Jones) Zefo.
He is survived by his mother, Linda L. Zefo of Galesburg; three children, Johnathon Ryan Zefo, Annastan, and Kingsley; brothers, Scott Laird, Nick Laird, and Dusty Johnson; a sister, Anna Zefo; grandmother, Helen Zefo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a special friend who was like a second father to Jon, Jeff Novak of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Zefo; grandparents, John Zefo and Reba Cook; and a sister, Lacy B. Zefo.
Jon had worked in construction for a time. He also had worked at HyVee in the kitchen and for the Teen Challenges Program.
Jon loved fishing, playing pool, playing video games, and going to the country with his Aunt Amy with her horses. Most of all, he loved his children, and all who loved him.
