Robert “Digger” Herron 83, of Roseville died July 31, 2020 at his home.  He was born February 9, 1937, in Macomb the son of Noel Donovan and Vivian Louise Nessel Herron.  He married Annita Kay Solomon Aug 8, 1959 at the Roseville Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife Kay of Roseville. His children Debora (Russ) Thomson of Charleston SC, Kendall (Lana) Herron of Colchester IL, Bradley W. (Missy) Herron of Colchester Il, Stanley K. (Becky) Herron of Monmouth, Il, Dana Jo (Jeff) Svob of Alexis, Il.  His grandchildren Casey (Tim) Wilcox, Joe (Lindsey) Thomson, Austin, Cole and Clay Herron, Stanton and Gauge Herron, Brad Mclaughlin, Brittany (Brandon) Teel, Blake (Olivia) Giddings, Stewart Svob.  Great Grandchildren Hunter, Tristan, Cody, Anabelle, Kenleigh, Andrea, Tylor, Kaylee, Emily, Austyn and a bun in the oven.  One sister Sue Tracy of Galesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, one sister

When he was first married Bob was an over the road truck driver.  Then Bob started digging graves and continued for 42 years.  He dug in over 40 cemeteries.  He also had a Tree Spade Business.  He later owned a semi that went over the road.  Bob retired in 2016.  He and Kay enjoyed the time on the Harley traveling all over the United States and Canada. 

Graveside Service will be August 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery Roseville, Il.  Friends may call Tuesday at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville. Memorials may be made to the Robert Herron Memorial Fund.  Family Requests Casual Attire.  Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com .  Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville is in charge of arrangements
