Monmouth may see another new restaurant in the future. City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher says there is interest in a downtown building:
“We have had conversations with three perspective purchasers or renters who are interested in perhaps reopening a restaurant. We are trying to do what we can to work with prospects or existing building owners, existing business owners to help them in any way we can to really stimulate economic activity, particularly in the downtown, but throughout the city as well,” Steinbrecher states.
Recently, Monmouth has seen new restaurants open such as the Tin Cup and the Patton Block Grill and Brew Pub. Meanwhile, Chase Gibb continues renovations on the old Barnstormer building and is looking to open the new Buffalo 67 later this fall.
