CDC Instructs States To Prepare For Vaccines In “Late October or Early November”

The CDC is informing health officials in all 50 states to be prepared to distribute a COVID-19 vaccine by late October or early November. The agency also told states they need to prioritize who gets the vaccine first when the approval happens, because supplies “may be constrained” when demand increases.  The agency says it recommends prioritizing vaccines to commence with health care professionals, essential workers, long-term care facility residents and staff and national security populations.
