Former Western Illinois Leatherneck wide receiver Lance Lenoir signed with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. Lenoir entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2017, spending three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

“Lance is extremely deserving to continue his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks,” said WIU head football coach Jared Elliott. ” He has always been a fighter and elite competitor. Lance will make any team better, and we are all excited to continue following his journey.”

Lenoir is a three-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection who ended his Leatherneck tenure with 273 receptions for 3,796 yards and 28 touchdowns, all Western Illinois career records. His four-year career also featured 14, 100-yard receiving games and 41 consecutive games with at least one catch.

According to the WIU football website, Western Illinois currently has three football alums in an NFL training camp in Lenoir, Khalen Saunders with the Kansas City Chiefs, and LaCale London with the Chicago Bears.
