Henderson County Deputies Make Meth Arrests

Henderson County Sheriff Don Seitz reports on 09/10/2020 at 10:53PM, Henderson County Sheriff Deputies arrested Kimberly S. Smith of Burlington, IA, age: 51 for Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of ID card. Also arrested was Kary L. Mahan of Oquawka, IL, age: 44 for Possession of Methamphetamine and Cade J. Sawyer of Burlington, IA, age: 25 for Possession of Methamphetamine.

While on routine patrol, Henderson County Deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop on US Rt. 34 near Stevenson Lake in the Village of Gulfport. After deputies searched the vehicle, Methamphetamine was located.

Smith, Mahan and Sawyer were all three transported to the Henderson County Jail, where they are held on no bond felony charges. All three subjects are awaiting an appearance in front of a judge for a bond hearing.  

ALL SUSPECTS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
