Jerry Williamson, 77, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 10:00 pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his home.

He was born October 17, 1942 in Quincy, IL, the son of Cedrick E. and Mildred M. (Lants) Williamson.  He was raised and educated in Quincy, Galesburg and graduated from Naperville High School. 

Jerry proudly served in the United States Coast Guard.

He married Lydia Kulp on September 6, 1997 in Oquawka, IL; she survives. 

Jerry worked for many years as a truck driver, most recently retiring from Walmart.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, reading, painting, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. 

Surviving Jerry is his wife, Lydia Williamson of Oquawka, IL; ten children, Monica (Gordy) Crooks of Muscatine, IA, Judy (Alan) Bellamy of Ft. Madison, IA, Sandra Pruig of Reno, NV, Rhonda Bagnasco of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Sandy Wilkins of Tennessee, Dawn Olin of Nevada,  Cindy Humes of Reno, NV, Joe Moulton of Monmouth, IL, Jim Sells of Oquawka, IL, Leigh Ann Sells of Oquawka, IL.  Twenty-five grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Jim Williamson of Ft. Madison, IA, Mike (Karen) Murphy of Tennessee; two sisters, Carol Plowman and Pat Ruppert, both of Paw Paw, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betsy and Jeanie, and one step son, Thomas Sells.     Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Oquawka Cemetery, Oquawka, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Henderson County Hospice. McGurie & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and requirements, all attendees are required to maintain social distancing.
