SLIAC Moves Women’s Golf Championships to Spring

Share

MONMOUTH, IL – Less than two weeks after canceling the fall season and the women’s golf conference championships that go with it, the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the meet has been moved to the first weekend in May.

Tuesday afternoon, the presidents of the SLIAC schools, of which Monmouth College is a member for women’s and men’s golf, supported the move to the spring championship meet for the women. The league’s coaches had earlier voted unanimously to make the move after the fall title event was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The 36-hole meet will be held May 1-2 at the original site, The Links Golf Course in Jacksonville.
