Sue E. Parish, 71, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 11:25, p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Unity Point Health Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

She born on October 20, 1948 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Ervin and Evelyn (Palmer) Boettcher.  Sue was raised and educated in Galesburg and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1966.  She later attended and graduated from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. 

Sue worked at Cavanaugh, Davies, Blackman & Cramblet CPA’s in Monmouth for 30 years.  She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, she loved all animals, enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her flowers and Succulents.  Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Surviving Sue are her children, Denise (Duane) Schoonover of Galesburg, IL, Dan (Jamie) Parish of Galesburg, IL, Ryan (Leola) Parish of Galesburg, IL; her grandchildren, Emily Schoonover, Nick Schoonover, Ashley Parish, Rebecca Tharp, Josie Parish, Payton Parish, Evelyn Parish; two brothers, Dave (Teresa) Boettcher of Galesburg, IL, Steve Boettcher of Houston, TX; two nieces, Tera Boettcher of Galesburg, IL, and Stacy (Dave) Sharp of Galesburg, IL.  Also surviving are her beloved dogs, Ellie, Maggie, Tucker, Finn, Rosie, and Casey. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandi Boettcher.   

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  No visitation hours are planned.  Memorials can be made to the Western Illinois Animal Rescue or the Knox County Humane Society.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and requirements, all attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
