Suspect Who Allegedly Shot Roommate at WIU Appeared Virtually Before a Judge

The case against the suspect who allegedly shot his Western Illinois University roommate inside their dorm room is moving forward.  Kavion Poplous appeared virtually before a judge yesterday to hear the charges against him. The 18-year-old is facing two counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.  He is being held on a million dollars bond and is set to appear again in court on October 6th.
