Terry P. Thacker, age 70, of Biggsville, Illinois; passed away at Select
City Hospital in Davenport, Iowa on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 4:58
PM. Terry was born on January 21, 1950 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of
Paul Cress and Cecil Fern (James) Thacker. He attended school in
Gladstone and was a graduate of Union High School. On August 9, 1975, he
married Beverly J. Woods in the Gladstone United Methodist Church and
she is surviving. Terry worked most of his life as a parts manager for
several companies including Seig Auto Parts, Skerick Auto Parts, Big A,
and Car Quest. At the age of 15, Terry owned his own gas station. For
seven and a half years, he and Beverly owned and operated the Twist and
Shout in Oquawka. Terry enjoyed cars, antique toys, going to sales,
auctions, flea markets, and car shows. He was a collector of many
things, a real “Wheeler and Dealer” and an avid fan of Harley Davidson
Motorcycles, and was a member of several car clubs in the area. Terry
had a fondness for music and was a member of several bands. He was a
member of the Oquawka Masonic Lodge. Most of all Terry loved his family.

Surviving Terry are his wife of 45 years, Beverly, three sons, Mike
Thacker of Keithsburg, Illinois; Jason Thacker of Aurora, Colorado, and
Cody (Lacey) Thacker from Biggsville, IL . Also surviving are four
grandchildren, Callie Thacker, Breanne Kidd, Keigan Thacker, and Greyson
Thacker. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Butch
Thacker.

A graveside service for Terry Thacker is planned for 11:00 AM on
Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Biggsville Township Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8,
2020 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. A memorial is being
established by his family and will be designated at a later date. For
