Warren County Board Updating Zoning Codes

Share

The Warren County Board has held a series of special meetings to discuss and update the zoning codes in Warren County, which was initially brought on by the wind turbine project, says Buildings and Grounds Committee Chair Sean Cavanaugh:

“The old wind turbine zoning rules we had been written when they were much smaller. When the energy company came in to work on this project, they were taller than when the zoning code was written. They, however, were very proactive and had all the setbacks and rules to industry standards and so forth and went beyond what our rules were for. So we thought to use the building permit dollars for the wind turbines to have the whole zoning code looked over, updated, rewritten parts of it, and complete new sections added,” Cavanaugh reports.

The next scheduled Board Meeting is Tuesday, September 8th inside the Warren County Boardroom.
