Warren County Sheriff’s Office Reports Spoofing Calls

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received a couple of reports involving scam telephone calls “spoofing” our telephone number(s).The scam usually involves compromised social security numbers and accusations of citizens being involved in criminal activity followed by requests for bail money. The Sheriff’s Office WILL NOT call you, accuse you of a crime, and request or demand money.  The Sheriff’s Office WILL NOT tell you you have a warrant on the telephone.  However, if you think you might have a warrant, you can always come to our lobby and ask…If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
