WIU Sees Increase in Student Enrollment in a Decade

Share

For the first time in a decade, Western Illinois University is reporting a jump in enrollment. The school on Friday said overall enrollment is up 13-percent this year. WIU’s freshman class is up almost 20-percent on its own. There are also more graduate students and more transfer students. Western President Martin Abraham said the enrollment bump is good news, but he said the university has more work to do to get WIU’s student numbers back to where they once were.
