Alice May Rose Paschal, age 88, of Roseville, Illinois; passed away at
2:45 am on Tuesday October 20, 2020 at Serenity of Lake Story in
Galesburg, Illinois. Alice was born on March 1, 1932 in Kingston, Iowa
and is the daughter of George R. and Laura A. York Moser. She attended
local schools in Kingston, and then attended Huron High School in
Mediapolis, Iowa. Alice married Donald G. Paschal on December 20, 1949
in Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2010. Alice was a
farmer and began farming with her husband on their family farm in
Ellison Township near Roseville in 1959. They were long time members of
the Warren County Farm Bureau. Alice also was employed at Monmouth
Stoneware for a time and was a member of the former CMC Auxiliary. She
also is a charter member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Monmouth,
Illinois. Alice loved to garden, loved to sew, and loved taking care of
the children.
She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Rule of Garland, Texas, F.
June Roberson of Smyrna, Tennessee, Kathy Delao and Roman of Bureau,
Illinois, Peggy Riden of Havana, Illinois, and her sons, Donald Paschal
and Joyce of Roseville, Illinois, Ronald Paschal and Wendi of Abingdon,
Illinois, and Phillip A Paschal of Royce City, Tennessee. There are 17
grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren
surviving. Alice’s brother, Delbert Moser is surviving and lives in New
London, Iowa. She is preceded in her death by her parents, husband, one
daughter, Angel, and her son in laws, Randy Roberson and Melvin Riden,
three sisters, and six brothers all precede her.
A graveside funeral service is planned by her family on Saturday October
24, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Friends may call and pay their respects from noon
to 2:00 pm prior to the graveside at Turnbull Funeral Home in
Monmouth,IL The graveside and interment will follow the calling hours at
Center Grove Cemetery in Kirkwood, next to her husband Donald. A
memorial fund is being established by her family for Baptist Christian
