Clean Up Week in Monmouth

Clean up week for the City of Monmouth begins tomorrow, Monday, October 5th. Executive Administrative Assistant Jan Helms has more:

“Whenever possible, materials should be placed in cans, bags, or bundles that weigh less than 50 pounds so these gentlemen and ladies that are picking the stuff up don’t have a problem lifting it. Large items like furniture, couches, loveseats, should be placed as near to the curb as possible,” states Helms.

Items not included in the clean up:

Yard waste

Liquid waste

Paint

Thinner

Stains/Varnishes

Motor Oil

Transmission fluid

Brake fluid

Antifreeze

Any free flowing liquid

Hazardous wastes

Gasoline

Propane

Chemical wastes

Insecticides

Pesticides

Any poison

Tires

Batteries

Large auto/truck parts

Demolition debris and concrete

Any type of needle, syringe, or sharp

Florescent light bulbs

Electronic waste

Items should be placed at the curb for collection the night before your regular service day. Clean up collection begins at 6 am.
