Four Transported with Injuries after Two Vehicle Crash on US-34

WHAT:                      Two Unit Personal Injury Crash

WHERE:                   U.S. Route 34 approximately 1 mile east of Illinois Route 164, Monmouth Township, Warren County

WHEN:                      Oct. 10, 2020 at 5:21 p.m.

VEHICLE:                Unit 1- 2000 Silver Honda

                                    Unit 2- 2018 Gray Chevrolet 

DRIVER:                   Unit 1- Mulleek O. Odomes, 18-year-old male of Monmouth, IL (Transported to local area hospital with injuries)

                                    Unit 2- Vicki L. Feehan, 52-year-old female of Monmouth, IL (Transported to local area hospital with injuries)

PASSENGERS:         Unit 2- Juvenile, 9-year-old of Monmouth, IL (Transported to local area hospital with injuries)

                                    Unit 2- Juvenile, 6-year-old of Monmouth, IL (Transported to local area hospital with injuries)

PRELIMINARY:                  A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred:Unit 1 was traveling westbound on US-34 and Unit 2 was traveling eastbound on US-34. For an unknown reason, Unit 1 lost control of the vehicle and ran off of the roadway to the right.  Unit 1 drove back onto the roadway and crossed both westbound lanes. Unit 1 continued through the center median and crossed both eastbound lanes before striking Unit 2 on the eastbound right shoulder.  No further information is available at this time.  

            CHARGES:               Unit 1 driver was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
