JCC Director Mowen Says 350 Children are Served Through Community Christmas Store

Jamieson Community Center is taking applications for their Community Christmas Store through November 25th for birth to fourteen year old children. Director Nancy Mowen states applications are being taken by phone:

“For families that have children that are birth through fourteen, we are doing the applications by phone this year. They can call us and we are going to ask for some basic household information to ensure that people qualify. There are income guidelines and we will also ask for clothing sizes for the children,” Mowen reports.

Every child that is signed up, the families will pay $5 to come and shop and will receive a hat, gloves, blanket, toy, book, and clothing for their child. The children will also then be placed on the Angel Tree at Midwest Bank. Mowen says 350 children are served through the program.
