KCAP President Ken Springer Eager for the Uber Expansion into Western Illinois

Share

Last week it was announced the rideshare platform Uber will be expanding into 39 counties in Illinois, including Henderson, Knox, McDonough, and Warren Counties. Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer states bringing Uber to the area will be a great addition:

“I think it is a cool way to add some household income to folks in the area. Obviously it is also a great way to get around. I think every bar, restaurant, store, retailer, and service provider out there is going to be happy that there is a new way for customers to get from their homes to these places of business. We can’t forget that we have a lot of students in both Galesburg and Monmouth and a number of residents that don’t have cars. This will be a new option for them,” Springer explains.
