V.P. of OSF HealthCare Digital Health Abby Lotz Says OnCall Connect Very Beneficial to Individuals Monitoring and Quarantining at Home

As a second surge of COVID-19 appears to be taking place, OSF HealthCare in partnership with the State of Illinois now has a program in place to assist patients quarantining at home. OSF OnCall Connect is the innovative service providing digital tools and remote monitoring 24/7, which OSF HealthCare Vice President of Digital Care Abby Lotz says is very beneficial:

“We have seen and learned a lot about COVID-19 over the last several months through this program and through our communities and hospitals alike. You can decline pretty rapidly. That is the benefit of this program. We can be monitoring our patients and those in our community rather continuously during this time so that we can get them in-person care as soon as possible. The goal is always to manage those symptoms at home, but then the second goal is to make sure they seek the medical care necessary at the right time,” Lotz explains.

OSF OnCall Connect is offered within 24 hours to an individual with COVID-19 symptoms or indicate the need for more assistance. Enrollment is provided free of charge to anyone that meets the criteria and wants the security of ongoing monitoring and care.
