A Warren County 4-H leader, Emma Coursey was recently selected to serve on the Illinois 4-H Livestock Ambassador Team. Seven members were selected to serve on the team out of the numerous applications that poured in from across the state. Members of the team serve a two-year term.
The 4-H Livestock Ambassador team meets throughout the year face to face and via tele net technology to plan events such as the Youth Livestock Conference which provides leadership, team building, and hands on experiences centered around livestock production and exhibition.
Coursey is involved on county level leadership opportunities such as the Federation Board, a teen-led group that helps plan activities for the county 4-H membership. Additionally, Coursey has shown livestock in 4-H for many years and has competed on the Livestock Judging Team in Warren County.
4-H Youth Development Educator, Shelby Carlson says, “Emma is one of those 4-H members you can’t help but admire. Her passion for 4-H and livestock is contagious. I can’t wait to see what Emma does in the future.”
