William E. Lee, 82, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 11:34 am, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Bill was born November 29, 1937 in Monmouth, IL the son of John and Stella Lee.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth graduating from Monmouth High School.

Bill married Betty L Hasting on February 14, 1975 in Monmouth, IL and she passed away January 23, 2016.

Bill worked at Farmland Foods in Monmouth for over 35 years before retiring.  He volunteered many hours at Strom Center.

He was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church and the Monmouth Eagles Club.

Bill is survived by his sons, Junior Lee of Wisconsin and Jim Lee of Bushnell, IL; his step-children; Debbie (Mike) Hawk, Kathy (Dennis) Yates, Sherri Rountree all of Monmouth, Mike (Cathy) Rountree of Burlington, IA.  Also surviving is one sister, Margaret Lee of Galesburg, IL; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Shelly Lee and one step son, Rick Rountree; one great granddaughter, Emma Wilkinson; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis IL.  No Visitation is planned. Memorials may be given to the Strom Center, Monmouth, IL.   Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and requirements, all attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
