Barry L. Hall, age 73 of Knoxville, Illinois died at 9:48 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home in Knoxville, Illinois surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 20, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Lawrence and G. Theda (Murdock) Hall. He attended and graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1965. He married Karen A. Imler on April 16, 1966 in Brimfield, Illinois.

Surviving is his wife, Karen Hall of Knoxville, Illinois; two daughters: Lisa (Brad) Weedman of Knoxville, Illinois and Barbara (Scott) Lester of Knoxville, Illinois; four grandchildren: Hannah Weedman of Peoria, Illinois, Emily (Devin) Green of Sherrard, Illinois, Alec Lester of Peculiar, Missouri, and Lindsey Lester of Knoxville, Illinois; one brother, Bruce Hall of Galva, Illinois; nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Brent and Brad, and one granddaughter, Abbey.

He served in the United States Army from July 1966 to July 1968 as an electrician. He received the nation Defense Service Medal; sharpshooter; Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and One Overseas Bar. He worked for the BNSF Railroad as a conductor for thirty-three years. He enjoyed horse racing and attending his grandchildren’s activities.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice in his name. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
