Frank E. Walker, 82, of Knoxville, passed away at home on Thursday, October 22, 2020, 2:47 PM, surrounded by his family.

Frank was born on September 16, 1938, in Galesburg. He was the son of Frank and Florence (West) Walker. Frank married his high school sweetheart, Patricia LaFollette on May 10, 1958. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage, before she preceded him in death on January 20, 2017. Frank is survived by his children, Monte (Delores) Walker of Dunlap and Mark Walker of Lewisville, TX; grandchildren, Casey Walker, Peter Walker and Monique (Jason) Masters; and great-grandchildren, Brooke and Jackson Masters. Along with his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a sister.

Frank was a 1956 graduate of Knoxville High School, where Patricia and he were the Homecoming King & Queen. He was a truck driver for 40 years, and the owner/operator of Walker Wash and Walker Storage for 38 years. Frank was also a member of the Antique Car Club.

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you for the dedicated care Frank received from the caring staff and team at Hospice COMPASSUS and Caring Senior Service.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service for Frank and Pat will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. David Shreeves will officiate.  Arrangements have been entrusted with Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, facemasks and social distancing will be required. Memorials contributions may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission or to Guardian Angels.
