John Lester Buys Cubs Fans 47K Worth Of Beer

Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester is showing his appreciation to fans by buying them a cold one.  Over the Halloween weekend, Lester took to Twitter saying the first beer is on him and instructed patrons to tell bartenders to “put it on hash-tag-Jons-tab.” The left hander spent a little 47-thousand-dollars in four different establishments. That includes a 34-percent tip in homage to the number on the pitcher’s jersey.  Lester is a free-agent and could pitch for a different team next year.
