Joseph J. Redlich, 79, of Monmouth, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, Il and Hinsdale, IL passed away at 1:25 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home.

He was born on July 16, 1941 in Cicero, IL the son of Joseph and Ann (Guk) Redlich.  He was raised and educated in Cicero and Berwyn, IL, attending Morton High School.

Joe married Joyce C. Silhan on April 28, 1962 in Berwyn IL. and she survives.

Joe worked as a telephone repairman for Illinois Bell for 40 years.  He was an avid coin collector. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving his wife, Joyce Redlich of Monmouth, IL; his four children, Mike (Valarie) Redlich, of Wheaton, IL, Steve (Beckie) Redlich of Oneida, IL, Dawn (John) Kuna of Honolulu, HI, and Sandy Redlich of Monmouth, IL; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James (Sandy) Redlich of Berwyn, IL and Roy (Denise) Redlich in Lac Du Flambeau, WI; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Redlich.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 23, 2020 at Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery, 4301 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL.  No visiting hours are planned.
