Robert Lee Conkle, 33, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Graham Hospital, Canton, Illinois
He was born September 19, 1987 in Macomb, Illinois the son of Timothy Lee and Shirley Tinkham. He married Jane Hallberg on March 21, 2020 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Shirley Dunn of Abingdon; his daughter, Brooklyn Mae Joyce Conkle of Galesburg; two brothers, Andrew Dunn of Galesburg and Trevor Conkle of Bowen, Illinois; two sisters, Miranda L. Smith of Abingdon and Michelle Smith of Havana, Illinois; three step sons, Marshall Mackey, Landon Wells and Lyle Hallberg, all of Galesburg; his step daughter, Sylvia Stivers of Galesburg; four aunts, Marsha (Charles) Garrett of Bushnell, Illinois, Mary Jane (Steven) Clark of Galesburg, Carol Lynn (Steven) Thrapp of Blandinsville, Illinois and Jeannette (Bill) Miller of Missouri; four nephews, Adyen Green-Dunn, Joshwa Strange-Dunn, Brent Anderson and Jimmy Walters and two nieces, Alexandra Strange-Dunn and Kayda Nava and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father; his sister, Deanna Conkle; step father, Jeffrey Allen; his step brother, Louis Lee Dunn; and nephew, Noalan Strange-Dunn.
Robert had held many jobs throughout the Galesburg area including: Burger King, United Facilities, Mid-State Manufacturing, Dick Blick and Knoxville McDonalds. He was of the Christian faith. Robert enjoyed playing video games.
