Mrs. Wanda Faye Spinks, 72, of Galesburg went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home.

She was born June 13, 1948 in Fallis, Oklahoma the daughter of Floyd L. and Christine D. (Reed) Brannon. She married Curtis Spinks on February 23, 2007 in Galesburg.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Curtis; her children, Mia Michelle Brannon of Galesburg, Paul Thomas Brannon of Mililani, Hawaii, Curtis Spinks, Jr. of Galesburg, Craig Spinks of Atlanta, Georgia and Rupert Spinks of Iowa; her brother, Jimmie Lee Brannon of Chandler, Oklahoma, Shirley M. Brannon of Oquawka, Illinois, Regina M. Brannon of Galesburg and Marsha A. Pitman of Jacksonville, Illinois and grandchildren, Kristin Campbell, Tateana Brannon and Sky Brannon and including other grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Wanda Faye graduated from Galesburg High School in 1966 and later attended Carl Sandburg College. She taught for many years at Hope Head Start. She has worked for Derby Packaging for over 20 years. Wanda Faye had a love for fishing and was an avid bowler, she had bowled on several bowling leagues. She was a woman of the Baptist faith. Wanda Faye’s favorite thing in the world was her family and spending time with them. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required with limited seating. Graveside services will follow at 1:15 pm at East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a college fund for her grandchildren. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
