William “Bill” H. Leihenseder

William “Bill” H. Leihenseder, 80, Knoxville, passed away at 2:27 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  

He was born April 3, 1940 in Peoria, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Wells) Leihenseder.  He married Barbara Ann Jones in 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara; one daughter, Debra Ann (Jon) Rainey of Knoxville; one son, Scott (Donna) Leihenseder of Knoxville; four grandchildren, BJ, Tyler, Zach (Paige L.) and Danielle (Jeff Davis); three great-grandchildren, Grace, Hadley and Killian; one brother, Danny (Betty) Fry of the state of Ohio; and brother-in-law, Butch  (Sid)  Jones and sister-in-law, Judy (Gene) Stull.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Todd Leihenseder, and one brother, Jerry Leihenseder.

Bill retired after 43 years at Admiral/Maytag, where he worked as a Process Engineer.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He and Barbara liked going to the casinos and enjoyed having breakfast with friends.  He loved going on trips.

Cremation will be accorded.  Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December3, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg.  Rev. David Mustain will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Due to the C ovid-19 Pandemic, facemasks are required for attendees.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
