2020 Marks Tough Year for Local Restaurants and Small Businesses

Share

Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer terms this has been the worst year in a century for restaurants, bars and live entertainment venues. To encourage continued support of local restaurants, Springer explains the social media #ColdWeatherCarryout campaign:

“We just want to encourage everybody to continue to do whatever they can to support our local restaurants and our local businesses. Locally here we have partnered with the Galesburg Chamber and the Tourism Bureau and we are marketing to try and get people to really embrace the idea of being more deliberate about eating out and getting carryout from operating restaurants. We have been circulating the #ColdWeatherCarryout. We have been encouraging people to share that and circulate it on Facebook and social media of anytime you get carryout.”
