Beulah Mae Hoskins, age 106, of, Illinois; passed away at 1:25 am on
Christmas morning at the Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst,
Illinois. Beulah was born on March 11, 1914 in rural Keithsburg,
Illinois and is the daughter of Lewis R. and Lucy I Robbins Brown. She
was raised in Keithsburg where she attended local schools and the
Keithsburg High School. In the 1930s Beulah Mae married Wilber Roy
Hoskins and he preceded her in death on July 1987. Beulah was a
homemaker and mother, and after her family was grown worked at Monnel
Manufacturing in Monmouth where she was a machine operator for a number of years. Beulah was a member and was active in the affairs of the
Keithsburg Christian Church. She enjoyed wintering with her husband
Florida. Surviving her are three sons, Ron Hoskins of Joy, Illinois and
Roy “Gene” Hoskins of Oquawka, Illinois and Richard Hoskins and Jane of
Parkton, North Carolina. There are thirteen grandchildren. Preceding her
in death are her parents, husband, two sons, and four daughter in laws.
A funeral service for Beulah Mae is planned at Turnbull Funeral Home in
Monmouth, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Due to
restrictions of the Covid 19 Virus no family visitation and/or receiving
hours are being planned by her family. Facial masks and social
distancing is requested. Friends may pay their respects to Beulah and
leave memorials at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to the time of service. The funeral service is planned to be live streamed at the time of service. A memorial fund is being established for the Keithsburg Christian Church. Interment will be in the Oquawka Cemetery following the service.
