Charles R. “Ray” Reyburn, 89, of Galesburg, IL, formerly of Monmouth, IL passed away at 10:10 am, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

Ray was born March 9, 1931 in Gladstone Township, Henderson County, IL the son of William Monroe and Merle Metta (Kessinger) Reyburn. He was raised and educated in Monmouth, IL,

Ray served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Ray married Donna Mae Hull in Galesburg, IL on March 10, 1952 and she survives. 

Upon his return from the service Ray worked at American Bridge and  Mayrath.  He worked at OMC Corporation in Galesburg as a welder for over 20 years before retiring.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and working on boats, cars and any kind of fabricating and welding.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Ray was a member of the Masonic Lodge #155 in Galesburg for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Reyburn of Galesburg, IL, 2 sons, Doug Reyburn of Galesburg and Glen (Michelle) Reyburn of Monmouth, IL; 2 brothers, Gene (Donna) Reyburn of Monmouth, IL and Jim (Sandra) Reyburn of Whittier, CA; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Sarah, Julia, Danny and Angela; 2 great grandchildren, Daniel and Kaleb; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, William R. Reyburn, Randall S. Reyburn and Gary A. Reyburn; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

A private family funeral service will be at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Graveside Services with Military Honors and Masonic Services will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2020 at the funeral home, the family will not be present.  Memorials may be given to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children and sent to the funeral home.  For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
