Elizabeth Jane “Janie” Lile, age 75, of Danville, Iowa, passed away at
4:50 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Great River Medical Center in
Burlington, Iowa. She was born November 8, 1945 in Rural Biggsville,
Illinois, the daughter of William L. “Pete” and Bessie Alleyne (Ray)
McIntire. Janie attended G&O High School and graduated from Union High
School with the Class of 1963. On November 22, 1978, she married William
“Terry” Lile in Danville, Iowa and he is surviving. Janie worked at
General Electric in Burlington, Iowa. She then worked at the I.A.A.P. in
Middletown, Iowa for twenty years completing data entry until her
retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, and word searches. She was
know for completing 1000 Thomas Kinkaid word puzzles. Mostly, Janie
loved her grandchildren.
Janie is survived by her husband Terry Lile of Danville, Iowa, one son,
Brad W. Lile of West Burlington, Iowa, one daughter, Brandi (Jeff) Genge
of Peoria, Illinois, her grandchildren, Olivya Lile, Bryton Lile, Kalob
Lile, Callen Lile, Cameran Butts, Liam Genge, and Niel Genge. She is
also survived by one brother, James McIntire of Shreveport, Louisiana,
one sister, Toot Miller of Oquawka, Illinois, and numerous nieces and
nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ray, and
one grandchild, Erick.
A funeral service for Janie Lile is planned at 11:30 AM on Saturday,
December 5, 2020 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Friends
may pay their respects from 10:00-11:30 AM prior to the service at the
funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Oquawka Cemetery.
A memorial fund is being established for the Danville Fire and Rescue or
an Educational Fund for her grandchildren. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic,
