As a way to continue to promote support of local businesses, the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Knox County Area Partnership, and Galesburg Tourism are collaborating in the effort of Cold Weather Carryout on social media informs Chamber Executive Director Pam Gaither:
“On social media we are pushing the #ColdWeatherCarryout. You can see it on Galesburg Area Chamber if you search that on Facebook. There are some posts about that. Essentially what it is, is a way to support our bars and restaurants and encouraging members of the community to pledge to get carryout once a week, twice a week, whatever is easiest and capable for your situation. I think all of our communities are doing a great job supporting our restaurants the best we can. This is just a nice reminder to follow through and kind of help that effort a little bit more.”
