John D. Martin, of Knoxville Illinois, died on December 4, 2020, at 12:01 a.m., in the Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Center, Roseville, Illinois.

At his request, no service will be held.

He was born October 15, 1937 in Macomb, Illinois, to Flaude & Leah Martin.

He married Nancy K. Miner on January 4, 1959. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2011. He was cared for in his later years by his special friend, Carole Hanson, Knoxville, Illinois.

Mr. Martin is survived by one daughter, Sheri (Todd) Henderson, Marana, Arizona; one son Robert (Maureen) Martin, New York, New York; one grandson Austin (Laura) Henderson, Ft. Worth, Texas, one granddaughter, Abbie Henderson, Phoenix, Arizona; one great-grandson, Brooks Henderson; and many nieces and nephews.

He worked for 42 years at Maytag Manufacturing.  Mr. Martin enjoyed cars, old movies, watching auto racing and reading. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Galesburg, Illinois, for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
