More than 140,000 FOID Cards Pending with ISP

The Illinois State Rifle Association is pushing the state to get Firearm Owners Identification cards out quicker.  The organization filed an injunction yesterday to compel Illinois State Police to issue FOID cards within 30 days.  ISP says there are more than 140-thousand pending FOID card applications, in addition to more than 25-thousand concealed carry applications.  The current average wait time is over 120 days.  A hearing on the injunction is set for Tuesday.
