Traffic stop in Gulfport leads to drug arrest

Henderson County Sheriff Donald E. Seitz reports on 12/15/2020 at 2:15AM, a Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy on routine patrol on US Rt. 34 in Gulfport, IL, near Stevenson Lake initiated a traffic stop. After conducting a search of the vehicle, the Deputy located Methamphetamine and Cannabis in the vehicle. This traffic stop led in the arrested of Chet E. Dehaven of Pontoosic, IL age: 45 for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Adult use Cannabis in a motor vehicle.

Dehaven was also arrested on a Hancock County Warrant.

Dehaven was transported to the Henderson County Jail, where Dehaven was processed and then jailed.

Dehaven is held on a no bond felony charge awaiting a bond hearing to be set by a judge.

ALL SUSPECTS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
