Another Round of Snow for Illinois This Weekend

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Drifting snow is expected tonight, as winds increase to 15 to 20
mph from the southeast. This could cause new slick spots on rural
highways.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for areas along and north of
Interstate 80 from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Snow
accumulations of 4 to 8 inches will be possible along with a light
glazing of ice. In addition, gusty east to southeast winds could
lead to blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Those with travel
plans should monitor later forecasts.

Rain and snow are possible Wednesday night and Thursday. It is
too early to determine the impacts from that storm yet.
