CSC Corporate & Leisure Dir. Rucker Says Google IT Support Course Great for High School Students

Share

The spring semester at Carl Sandburg College is underway with most classes meeting online, while labs are being conducted in person. Through the Corporate and Leisure College, there are several upcoming non-credit online courses, continuing education credits, and English Language Acquisition classes. Director Stacey Rucker highlights one upcoming course perfect for high school students:

“Coming up on February 1st, is our Google IT Support Professional certificate. What that is, is it is a non-credit certificate program. It is sixteen weeks and individuals take five online classes and this would prepare students for an entry level job in Informational Technologies Support. So classes begin February 1st and conclude May 21st and all five online courses are $400. The benefit is there is an instructor that is available to assist with answering questions. I think this certificate would be perfect for high school students that are still unsure maybe on what career path they want to focus on and this would give them a good introduction into the computer field to see if that is an area that they do want to go into.”
