ISP Conducting Shooting Investigation in Henderson County

Henderson County Sheriff, Donald E. Seitz releases that on New Years Eve at approximately 1:14pm, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of person who had been shot several times in rural Gladstone. When the Deputy arrived he was met by the victim who had been shot several times in the torso area. The Deputy transported the victim from the rural area and met with Burlington Fire Department Paramedics. The victim was transported to Great River Medical Center where he was in stable condition. Investigation in to the shooting is conducted by the Illinois State Police. Deputies and Troopers arrested Lora L. Roberts, age 36 of Gladstone, IL and Larry D. Roberts, age 41 also of Gladstone. Both Roberts are charged with Attempted Murder (a class X Felony, punishable by at least 20 years in the Department of Corrections) and Home Invasion (a class X Felony, punishable by 6 to 30 years in the Department of Corrections). They are currently being held in the Henderson County Jail on NO BOND. They are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. A Henderson County arrest warrant has been issued for a 3rd suspect, Terrance L. Clopton, age 36 of Gladstone for Attempted Murder and Aggravated Battery.
