Mr. Randall G. Barstow, 59, of Geneva, Illinois, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at his home. 

He was born January 11, 1961 in Galesburg to Russell G. and Carlene N. (Nichols) Barstow.  He married Deborah L. Erickson March 26, 1994 in Park Ridge, Illinois.  She preceded him in death May 15, 2007. 

Surviving is his son, Daniel Barstow of Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, two brothers, Charles R. (and Marianne J.) Barstow of Algonquin, Illinois and William (and Julie Ann) Barstow of Irving, Texas, and a sister, Martha (and Jack R.) Ross of Normal, Illinois.  He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Randy graduated from Galesburg High School in 1979 where he played baseball and basketball.  He was also a founding member of the “Rowdy Section” in high school.  He graduated from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois in 1983 where he played rugby.  He worked in telecommunications network and traffic engineering for over 30 years.  Randy enjoyed grilling, was an avid golfer, and was a dog lover.  He had an eclectic taste in music and loved comedy, including comedians such as, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Sam Kinison.  Randy had a defiant personality and loved “sticking it to the man”. 

Cremation was accorded.  A private memorial graveside service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg.  Rev. Martha Jean Fitch will officiate.  A Celebration of Life will be at a later date when it is safe for large gatherings.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
