United Students Return to Four Day In-Person Learning Tuesday

A short Board of Education Meeting was held this month for the United School District. Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt highlights items discussed:

“We’re going to seek bids for our all-weather track; the asphalt and concrete base for the track project and see where those land. Hopefully we will get a bid in our range and we can move forward on that here when the weather breaks. We are going to host a retreat meeting just for our Board here in February to talk about and knock out our next round of goals. We typically set goals in three year increments and are due for that. We have five people running for four board spots for the board election coming up in April. Then we talked a little bit about the legislations that came out of the lame duck session here this past week.”

Students in the United School District will return to four day in-person learning Tuesday, January 19th with 12:30 dismissal times and Wednesdays being full remote learning days. Whitsitt stated that pre-k students are returning back to school this semester and 120 students in the district have elected in remaining fully remote learning.
