Galesburg Art Center’s Great Bowls of Soup Event Giving Back to the Community

The Galesburg Civic Art Center has revamped their Great Bowls of Soup fundraiser to bring Great Bowls Give Back to the community. Even though the event cannot be held in person, with the purchase of a ticket, you can still receive an artisan bowl, free soup, and support area restaurants. Executive Director Tuesday Cetin has the details:

“It is very different and we know there will be a learning curve. You will still as a Very Important Bowl ticket holder, or if you want to upgrade your ticket for $10, you get to come in a pick your bowl at a time and slot of February 20th. If you are a regular ticket holder, you can call ahead and pick up your bowl February 23rd through the 27th at the Art Center. Then March 3rd through the 7th, you will take your ticket voucher and go visit your restaurant, call in for curbside or carryout, whatever you are comfortable with, and get your free soup; however, this year is even more special because beyond soup that we are just able to serve at a normal Great Bowls of Soup, of course, other locations are able to participate, like, Hidden Hills Winery and Lim’s Ice Cream. So you can make a whole date night out of your vouchers.”

This year the Galesburg Art Center will be giving back to their partners by paying them for every serving of soup ordered March 3rd through the 7th. In addition, for each ticket purchased, a five dollar donation will be made to the FISH Food Pantry and the Art Center’s free exhibition and art education.
