Anhydrous Ammonia Certified Grower Training Now Available

Share

As of now, Illinois growers and grower farm operators who transport or apply anhydrous ammonia, or otherwise maintain anhydrous ammonia equipment, are now required by state regulation (8 IAC 215) to complete certified grower training. Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Manager Gina Long states online training is now available:

“The Department of Ag is hoping to have some in-person training opportunities that are not currently available right now, but the online training option is available to growers and grower farm operators. It is a free certification and from the date you take it, it lasts for three years and then similar to other applicator tests, you need to take it again to become recertified. Through our website, I have a link to the Department of Ag page that you can register.”

Growers and grower farm operators have until April 1, 2022 to become certified.
