Jeffrey Allen Kilpatrick, 57 of Abingdon, passed away at 2:38 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born December 31, 1963 in Galesburg, the son of John Beard and Joyce Severns.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Lisa Sibert of Abingdon; his granddaughter, Lakeysha Sibert of Abingdon; his parents by adoption, Forrest “Tiger” and Donna Kilpatrick of Cameron; two sisters, Pam Severns and Dawn Severns; special cousins, Michael Watkins and Jody Quinn; his best friend, Joe Parker; aunts, uncles and cousins and their families.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents, his grandparents, Norma “Tootie” and Cline Severns, and one brother, Randy Kilpatrick.
Jeff graduated from Abingdon High School. He also graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Peoria with a degree in heating and cooling and he worked out of the Labor Temple in Peoria. He served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Hawaii for 10 years, where he was a roofing contractor. He lived most of his life in Abingdon. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed playing darts and video games while enjoying his Mountain Dew.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
