Local Monmouth McDonald’s Owner Trina Gendron Blessed to be Returning Back to Normal

Many restaurants are beginning to recover from the mitigations and shutdowns that occurred during the height of the pandemic.  Local McDonald’s owner Trina Gendron says March, April and May were pretty scary last year but some normalcy is starting to return:

“It is crazy to look back that long. Definitely March, April, May were really some scary times for us. We missed seeing all of our regular customers. We were blessed to have our drive-thru, but definitely very slow business for us. The summer picked up a little bit. We were able to move our drive-thru along and keep our customers coming in. Today our restaurant is open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., so we get to see our regular customers every morning and for lunch and our truckers can come inside and order. Just very blessed to have all my people here and getting things somewhat back to normal.”

Eligible restaurants and small businesses can access $284.5 billion in new PPP loans, which can be fully forgiven if proceeds are used for allowable expenses during a selected 8-week or 24-week period that begins after the proceeds are received.
