Marie Elaina Noblitt, 71, of, Galesburg, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 8:50 a.m. at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth. 

Marie was born May 5, 1949 in Burlington, IA the daughter of Roy and Goldie E. Cook.  She married Howard Noblitt on April 11, 1981 in Oquawka.  He preceded her in death on May 15, 2003.  Marie is survived by three daughters, Rachel Jones, Melissa Colwell, and Kristina Rogers all of Galesburg; and two sisters, Teea Scott and Terri Cook-Edgington both of Burlington, IA.  Marie is also survived by four grandchildren, Jaclynn Sloan, Zachary Bauer, Chance Godsil, and Sophie Rogers; and two great grandchildren, Amaya and Alijah.  Along with her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by one brother, Whitney Cox.

Marie enjoyed collecting dolls and was a prolific knitter.  She was also an avid reader, especially mysteries and science fiction.

Cremation will be accorded.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.   Memorials may be made in Marie’s memory to the Huntington’s Disease Society of American.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
