OSF Healthcare Doctor Concerned about COVID Variants

Share

While Illinois appears to be lagging behind in getting the COVID-19 vaccine distributed, concerns about the variants or mutations of the COVID-19 virus are growing. Dr Robert Ayers, one of the doctors in charge of Vaccine Distribution for OSF Healthcare, says that each time the virus is transferred it has the chance to mutate and the longer it goes without a vaccine, the more chance the virus has to adapt and become resistant.

President Joe Biden has stated that he intends to ramp up millions of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for distribution across the country as soon as possible.
